Materials
The housing, base, handle, and gears are printed with PLA, and retrieved from corn starch. All the needles are medical-grade stainless alloy springs. We only use high-quality bearings to ensure a firm but smooth rotation. The entire Tamping station is printed with PLA, and retrieved from corn starch. The adjustment knob consists of 3D-printed parts, a metal screw, a metal nut and metal threads.

Compatibility
The WDT tool is designed for optimal compatibility with all standard 58mm baskets and Breville / Sage 54 mm baskets. While it is optimized for 18-22g baskets, smaller basket sizes can be accommodated by adjusting the needles' reach (14mm-25mm) by up to 11mm through the adjustment rings.
The Tamping Station is designed for optimal compatibility with all 58mm standard portafilters, 58mm Gaggia/LaMarzocco, Nuova Simonelli, Vittoria Arduino, E61, EC, Rocket, Flair58 and Breville / Sage 54 mm portafilters. Make sure you choose the right variation for your machine.
If your machine is not listed here in the description, the tamping station won't be 100% compatible with your machine and model. In this case, please reach out to us for further information.
Portafilters with metal handles such as the normcore full metal versions won’t sit stabilised without holding due to the design limitations and weight distribution. We recommend using portafilters made of wood or basket heavy portafilters. Usage of metal handles is still possible but only by holding the portafilter in place by hand.
