Materials
The housing, base, handle, and gears are printed with PLA, and retrieved from corn starch. All the needles are medical-grade stainless alloy springs. We only use high-quality bearings to ensure a firm but smooth rotation.

Compatibility
The tool is designed for optimal compatibility with all standard 58 mm baskets and Breville / Sage 54 mm baskets. While it is optimized for 18–22 g baskets, smaller basket sizes can be accommodated by adjusting the needles' reach (14 mm–25 mm) by up to 11 mm through the adjustment rings.

“I’ve tested many shakers and WDT’s and I always go back and forth. Shakers seem to work best with deeper baskets such as step down or convex baskets but I do prefer WDT’s for standard 58 mm baskets and this one is exceptionally well made. The metal bearings helps with a smooth rotation while keeping the gearing system quiet and super smooth. Additionally it’s height adjustable and holds my portafilter while I’m going through the motions of my puck prep. The result: fluffy even coffe powder - no channeling!”

“Took a while for the item to ship, but it was worth the wait. Like the adjustability feature and locking ring. I have two very different espresso machines and when I use the bottomless portafilters, it was annoying when a small stream of espresso missed the shot glass. I spent a lot of time finding something for both machines that would raise the shot glass up to the bottom of the portafilter (upside down small cups, etc.). This device can be dialed to the exact height that I need and looks way better than what I was using. Works perfectly!”

“I received both the Spirographic WDT and the Magic Shaker from Fused Visions, and I love them both! I have a Lelit Victoria and a Baratza Encore ESP grinder, and before I was using a simple WDT tool I got off Amazon. These tools have transformed the way my espresso tastes, making it much easier to dial in and get consistent shots every time. I usually like to use both the Magic Shaker and the WDT together for the best distribution, but when I am running low on time in the morning using the WDT on its own still produces amazing results. There is a bit of a retention issue with the Magic Shaker, but that is easily resolved by tapping it on the counter and on the top a few times before opening it up. I always brush it off after each dose as well. They also came with two dosing funnels which keep my workstation pretty clean!”

- Magnetmechanismus gefällt sehr gut
- Ästhetik ist bekanntlich Geschmackssache, meinen Geschmack trifft es. Gefühlt sehr wertig, vor allem bei Bedienung.
- Vor allem aber stimmt das Ergebnis im Sieb und darauf kommt es primär an. Andere Tools werfen den Kaffee oft über den Rand des Siebs ab oder verteilen ungleichmäßig.
Klare Empfehlung, es macht sehr viel Spaß damit zu Arbeiten, für mich bleiben keine Wünsche offen.”

“Das WDT-Tool ist ein 3D-Druck, optisch ansprechend, sauber verarbeitet und wertig. Die Lieferung war schnell, es lagen 8 Ersatznadeln bei. Magnete halten es gut auf dem Portafilter. Die Höhenverstellbarkeit ist praktisch für verschiedene Siebgrößen – es passt perfekt auf mein 18 g VST Sieb. Es lässt sich mit einem Finger drehen, die Magnete und Auskantungen sorgen für festen Sitz. Nach 6-8 Umdrehungen ist der Kaffee gleichmäßig verteilt und aufgelockert , Tampen ohne vorheriges Leveling-Tool reicht aus. Ich habe eine gleichmäßige Extraktion ohne Chanelling. Klare Empfehlung!”
